MOTOROLA

Motorola, Inc. was an American multinational telecommunications company founded in 1928 by brothers Paul and Joseph Galvin as Galvin Manufacturing Corporation. The company introduced the Motorola brand name in 1930 for its car radio, which later became synonymous with wireless communications and electronic systems. Motorola diversified its product line to include radios, televisions, and two-way radios, and it became a leading manufacturer of transistors in the 1950s. The company pioneered significant innovations in telecommunications, such as the first portable cellular phone (DynaTAC 8000X in 1983) and the first smartphone using Google's Android operating system (Motorola Droid in 2009). After facing financial challenges, Motorola was split into two independent companies, Motorola Solutions and Motorola Mobility, in 2011. The brand has remained a significant player in the telecommunications industry, known for its innovative products and contributions to wireless communication technology.
