Hewlett-Packard (HP) is a multinational information technology company founded in 1939 by William R. Hewlett and David Packard in Palo Alto, California. Initially known for producing electronic test and measurement equipment, HP quickly grew into a leading manufacturer of computers, printers, and related services. The company's early success was marked by its first major contract with Walt Disney Productions for the production of audio oscillators used in the film *Fantasia*. Over the years, HP has expanded its product lines to include personal computing devices, enterprise servers, storage devices, networking products, and software. The company has also been at the forefront of technological advancements, collaborating with Intel on the 64-bit Itanium microprocessor and introducing innovative products like LaserJet printers. In 2015, HP split into two companies: HP Inc., which focuses on personal computers and printers, and Hewlett Packard Enterprise, which handles enterprise products and services.
