Greenlee

Greenlee is an American industrial and electrical tool company founded in 1862 by twin brothers Robert L. and Ralph S. Greenlee in Rockford, Illinois. Initially, the company focused on woodworking and barrel-making, with its first significant invention being the hollow chisel mortiser in 1874, which revolutionized mortise and tenon joint making in woodworking. Over the years, Greenlee diversified into various hand woodworking tools and machinery for making wooden barrels. The company has since expanded into a wide range of professional tools, including power tools, hand tools, knockouts, wire and cable fishing/pulling/termination equipment, benders, electronic test and measurement tools, and more. Today, Greenlee is part of Emerson's Professional Tools group and is recognized as a leading manufacturer of innovative job site solutions for electrical, plumbing, utility, data, and telecommunications markets worldwide.
