CRC

CRC Industries is a global manufacturer and distributor of specialty chemicals, founded on October 6, 1958, as Corrosion Reaction Consultants, Inc. in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The company was established by Charles J. Webb II after a verbal agreement to distribute WD-40 fell apart, leading him to hire Norman Larsen, the inventor of WD-40, to develop a competing product. CRC's first product, CRC Corrosion Inhibitor (5-56), was a multi-purpose lubricant used to suppress corrosion in mechanical and electrical machinery. Over the years, the company has diversified its product line to include cleaners, lubricants, corrosion inhibitors, protective coatings, degreasers, greases, additives, and specialty products tailored for various industries such as automotive, industrial, electrical, marine, and aviation. Today, CRC Industries is a leading global supplier of over 1300 chemical products, committed to quality and innovation, with a presence in 120 countries.
